This policy explains what personal data we collect through the Polish Open competitor portal, why we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to competitors who create an account, add dogs, and register for our events.
The data controller is the event organizer, DOGSTAR Roman Maruszczak (Polish Open). If you have any question about your data or want to exercise your rights, contact us at info@polishopen.dog.
We collect only what we need to run the competition:
We use your data to create and manage your account, to process your registrations and payments, to build start lists and running orders, to contact you about your entries, and to organize and run the event. The legal basis is the performance of your registration (a contract with you), your consent where you provide it during sign-up, and our legitimate interest in running a fair and well-organized competition.
Agility competitions are public events. Once you are entered, information such as your name, country, your dog's calling name, breed and class appears on published start lists, running orders and results for that event. Please keep this in mind when you register. Microchip numbers, your e-mail, phone and payment details are never published.
If you allow another competitor to lease one of your dogs, that competitor receives a copy of the dog's basic details (calling name, breed, size and microchip) on their own account so they can register it. You can end a lease at any time.
We use only strictly-necessary cookies: a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security token that protects forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies. Because these cookies are essential for the site to work, they cannot be turned off, but we show a short notice so you are aware of them.
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. Your data is handled by the organizer and the hosting provider that runs this site on our behalf. Published start lists and results are, by their nature, visible to the public as described above.
We keep your account and dog profiles for as long as you use the portal. Entry and payment records are kept as long as needed to run the event and to meet any legal or accounting obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized. You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to certain processing, and to receive a copy of it. You can edit most of your data yourself on your account page, or contact us at info@polishopen.dog. If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be communicated through the portal.
